Grancanariafincas.com is a new website listing some of Gran Canaria’s most attractive rural houses and hotels for visitors to the island.
The properties range from secluded manor houses and villas to townhouses in some of Gran Canaria’s most picturesque locations.
The website currently lists nine hotels and 46 holiday homes, all located in rural areas. Examples are Hotel Rural Las Longueras, an elegant colonial mansion that dates back to 1895; Casa Rural Finca La Salud, a heritage-listed former wine growing estate with sea views; and Hotel Rural Maipez, a two hundred year-old estate is situated in the Guiniguada Gorge, in the north-east of the island.
The website enables users to check availability and book accommodation, and currently offers a 10% discount for the first online customers. A Google Maps feature allows the user to view properties by location, and the website features many stunning photographs and descriptions of locations and activities.
The site has been developed by Gran Canaria Natural, a public / private partnership set up to promote the natural side of Gran Canaria. Apart from being a destination associated with beach holidays, 43% of Gran Canaria’s territory is protected and has been declared a “Biosphere Reserve”.
Therefore, a great offer of environmentally friendly tourism has been developed in the island, respecting nature and its fragile condition.
An example of this is the network of refurbished, characterful rural houses and fincas for self catering holidays. This is complemented by a wide array of leisure activities including climbing and trekking.
Brewhouse launched the website to the travel & lifestyle media, and created profiles on Facebook and Twitter.
